DataShed5 is a browser-based application that allows users to view and visualise data stored within the Maxwell Data Schema. The DataShed5 interface has been designed to be as intuitive as possible, and most users should need very little instruction in order to use the basic functions.

In this presentation we will discuss displaying data in the Map Views in DataShed5.

View Maps
DataShed5 Map Views allow users to visualise data with coordinates located over a satellite image.
DataShed5 has a number of default map views and DataShed5 administrators can add new maps to this list or modify or remove the default maps.
The default maps include Drill Hole Collars showing collar locations classified by hole type and Drill Hole Au ppm showing collar locations coloured with different gold grade ranges
The Map View opens with the map centred on the displayed data. The map can be navigated using the Zoom In and Out buttons and the mouse scroll wheel while holding down the left mouse button and dragging will move the map centre.
Clicking on a point or shape on the map will display an information box.
The Select Multiple Points Rectangle & Polygon buttons can select items to create a Map Filter. This filter will be applied in Data views.
The Display Selected Points button shows a list of the items in the Map Filter.
The Map filter can be cleared with the Remove Map Filter button.
The Map Layer Details button displays the Map Series legend and allows display/hide classified items.
The Map Tenements Details button displays the Tenement Details legend with selected & monitored tenements classified by expiry dates. Labels and Fill can be added if required.
The Display Map Styles button displays options such as Light Mode, Terrain Mode and allows raster and custom images to be overlayed and adjusted using the Layer Opacity slider.
The Tenement Search button will relocate the map to the selected tenement location and the Tenement List button displays a list of active tenements.
