Introduction

DataShed5 is a browser-based application that allows users to view and visualise data stored within the Maxwell Data Schema. Users can view data stored in various database objects, apply advanced filtering rules, and then download the results in various formats. DataShed5 also provides access to various summary and detail reports and allows data to be displayed on an interactive map.

The DataShed5 interface has been designed to be as intuitive as possible, and most users should need none, or very little, instruction in order to use the basic functions. However, more advanced functions or features may not be as obvious.

The ‘Quick Start’ section of this document describes a few fundamentals that will enable user to quickly get started and discover for themselves the basics of using DataShed5. The rest of the manual describes in detail how to use all the functions available within the application.
