### Accessing the Government Reporting Extension

1. **Navigate to Extensions:** On the left-hand side of the application, click on "Extensions."
2. **Open Government Reporting:** From the Extensions menu, click on "Government Reporting."  
This will open the Government Reporting extension landing page.

Depending on your user role, you will see different tabs:

- **SysAdmin Role**: Four tabs are visible: Data Tables, Header Fields, Header Allocation, and Produce Report.
- **User Roles (User, User Edit, User Plus)**: You will only see the "Produce Report" tab.

**SysAdmin User Role Overview**

As a SysAdmin, you have access to four tabs, which allow you to configure the Government Reporting package. This package includes a set of data tables that are exported together to form a complete data reporting package (e.g., for drillholes, it may contain Drill Hole Collar, Downhole Surveys, Assay, and Lithology data).

Data Tables Tab

The Data Tables tab is divided into two sections:

1. **Data Files List**: This panel on the left <span style="color: #ff0000">**1 **</span>allows you to select a data file by name.
2. **Data File Configuration**: The panel on the right <span style="color: #ff0000">**2 **</span>displays and allows for the configuration of each data table.

**Creating a New Data Table**

1. **Click New**: Press the “New” button.
2. **Enter Data File Name**: In the "Create New Data File" dialog, enter the name for the Data File. This name will be displayed and selected in the first panel.
3. **File Name Format**: The file name, when exported, is composed of three parts:

- **PRE**: Abbreviation for the state the report is generated from.
- **Data Type**: Specifies the data type (e.g., Downhole, Surface, Geochemistry, Lithology).
- **Free Text**: Additional text of your choice.

1. **Select Table Type**: Choose the appropriate table type (Downhole, Point, Face, etc.).
2. **Select Table Name**: From the "Table Name" dropdown, choose the database table to export.
3. **Assay Type (If applicable)**: If the selected table type is Assay, select the appropriate Assay Type. Otherwise, this field will be disabled.
4. **Save Data File**: Click "Save" to create the Data File.

After saving, the configuration panel will populate with the file details. Fields from the selected database table will be included in the file output. You can modify this as needed:

- **Delete Fields**: Check fields that are not required and click "Delete Selected Records."
- **Reorder Fields**: Adjust the order of the fields using the "Order" column.

Click the "Save" button to save the export configuration.

Header Fields Tab

1. **View Header Fields**: Clicking on this tab will display a list of header fields. The only editable column is the "Default Value" field, which allows you to assign default values for the report.
2. **Save Changes**: After assigning values, click "Save"   to store the data. If you want to undo changes, click "Discard Changes"   to revert to the previous values.

**Header Allocation Tab**

This tab allows you to link header fields with data tables. It displays two lists:

1. **Data Files**: <span style="color: #ff0000">**1**</span> Shows the available data files.
2. **Active Fields**: <span style="color: #ff0000">**2**</span><span style="color: #ff0000"> </span>Displays the active header fields for the selected data file.

**Linking Header Fields to Data Tables**

1. **Select a Data File**: Choose a data file from the Data Files list. The Active Fields list will display all linked and available fields.
2. **Link or Unlink Fields**: Click the checkbox next to a field to include or exclude it from the output file. Unchecking a field will remove it from the report, and the list will update immediately. Included fields are displayed highlighted in teal while the excluded ones are at the bottom of the list with no highlighting.
3. **SQL Scripts**: The SQL column shows the script used to populate each field. Not all fields have SQL scripts.
4. **Copy SQL Script**: You can copy any SQL script by clicking the "Copy"   button next to the field.


**Produce Report Tab**

The Produce Report tab allows you to generate the output files for reporting.

Report Header Section

1. **Select Report Type**: Use the "Report Type" dropdown to choose between Weekly, Monthly, Quarterly, or Annual reports.
2. **Choose Date Range**: Select a predefined range (Custom, Year to Date, Last Month, etc.) or specify a custom start and end date. Note that the system will search all Drilling dates or Site dates or Sample dates or Logged Dates (lithology only) that fall within this date range and include all relevant data to cater for such scenarios where holes have been resampled or relogged at some future date.

**Selecting Tenement Group**

**Choose Tenement Group**: In the "Select Tenement"   section, select an existing Tenement Group or create a new one by clicking the "Tenement Group +" icon.

To create a new group, enter a name and select a set of tenements. Tenement Groups typically relate to reporting anniversaries or other common characteristics.

**OR Choose Tenement Numbers**: You don’t need to use a predefined Tenement Group. Instead you can choose one or more Tenements from the Tenement Number list.  


**Editing a Tenement Group**

To edit an existing Tenement Group, click the "Edit"   icon next to the group.


**Deleting a Tenement Group**

To delete a Tenement Group, click the "Delete"   icon next to it. A prompt will ask you to confirm the deletion.

**Generate Report**

1. **Generate Files**: After configuring the report, click the "Generate File" button to display the files associated with the report.
2. **Select Files: **Generate Files will search the database and present you with a list of all files that can be generated or for which there is data in the selected date range. You can choose all files or exclude some of them from the export if you want.

**Produce Report**: Click the "Produce Report" button to generate the output files. The files will be compressed into a ZIP archive and saved in your Downloads folder.
