Click "**Contracts**" to open the Extension

## Searching and Filtering Contracts

### **Filtering Contracts**

- Click the **Contracts** picklist to view filtering options.
- To apply the filter, enter the desired criteria (e.g., Contract ID).
- Click **"Search"** to apply the filter.
- To remove the filter, click the **Reset** button.

### **Filtering by Date**

- Select the **Start Date** and **End Date**.
- Click **"Search"** to filter by date.
- To remove the date filter, click the **Reset** button.

Contracts are categorized into two tabs: **"Inactive Contracts"** and **"Active Contracts"**. This classification is based on the **Contract Status**, which is set on the **Contract Details** page

### Creating a new Contract

- Click **"Add New Contract"** to begin.
- Enter a **Contract ID** (this is a required field).
- Select the **Contractor** from the picklist (this data comes from the **Company Library Table**).
  - The Company needs to be added in the **LIB Company** table with the **Company_Type** as **LAB**.
  - The lab will also have to be added to tblSYSAssLab - LabCode. This can be done in Assay Manager.
  - Once this has been added, edit the Company record in LIB Company and set the LabCode (on the far right). This is to allow Sample Dispatches to be send via API submission.
- Enter the **Contract Start Date**.
- Select the **Client** from the picklist (this data comes from the **Company Library Table**; this is a required field).
- Select the **Currency** for invoicing (this is a required field).
- Choose the **person who will receive the invoice** from the picklist (this data comes from the **Person Library Table**).
- Choose the **person who will receive the results** from the picklist (this data also comes from the **Person Library Table**).
- Select a **Cost Code** for the contract.
- Enter any relevant **Comments** about the contract.
- Once all details are correct, click **"Save Contract"** to save the new contract.

### Item Details

The available **Item Details** include **Sample Preparation**, **Assay Analysis**, and **Sample Storage**. A contract can include multiple types, such as multiple **Assay Analysis** suites, depending on the specific requirements of the contract.

### **Adding Item Details to a Contract**

- Select the **Item Detail** type to add to the contract.
- Click **"Preparation Suite"** (or the relevant type based on the item detail).
- Enter a **Description** for the item.
- Enter the **Cost Per Unit**.
- Select the **Unit** of measurement.
- Choose a **Lab Code** from the picklist (this data comes from the **Company Library Table**).
- Select a **Lab Method Code**.
- Enter the **Lab Turnaround Expectation**.
- Select the **Elements to be determined**.
- Click **"Save"** when all details are entered.

### **Adding Multiple Item Details**

- Additional **Item Details** can be added to the contract by repeating the above steps.

### **Example of Multiple Item Details on a Contract**

- A contract can include multiple item types (e.g., multiple Assay Analysis suites or other types) based on requirements.

### **Returning to the Contract Page**

- Once done, click **"Back to List"** to return to the contract page.

The new Contract is now displayed in the list
