<u>**Problem:**</u>

1. I can't generate any of them (try **Cause 1, 2 and 3**)
2. I can't generate "Export by Selection" (try **Cause 1, 2 and 3**)
3. I can't generate "Summary by Selection" (try **Cause 1, 2 and 3**)
4. I can't "Export Grid Results" in QueryBuilder (try **Cause 1 and 3**)
5. I can't generate a "Group Report" (usually **Cause 2,** but otherwise **Cause 1 or 3**)

<u>**Cause:**</u>

Either:

1. You don't have excel installed on that computer (refer **Solution 1**). Remember: if you are remoting in to another computer, we're talking about the remote computer.
2. You haven't selected items to report on (refer **Solution 2**).
3. Excel is waiting for you for a prompt (refer **Solution 3**).

<u>**Solution:**</u>

1. Install Microsoft excel.  Remember: if you are remoting in to another computer, it needs to be installed on the remote computer.
2. Highlight 1 or more items in the list (in the case of a Group Report, just 1).
3. Open Microsoft excel, and either answer it's question, or give it a minute.  You usually see it pulsing at the bottom of the screen if it's waiting for you to open it and/or answer a question.
