<u>**Problem:**</u>

1. When trying open LeaseControl, one or more of the following errors were generated:
  - <span style="color: #bf2600">"The database version is different from the application version."</span> - refer **Cause 1**.
  - <span style="color: #bf2600">"The database version is not the same as the application version."</span> - refer **Cause 1**.
  - <span style="color: #bf2600">"...The SELECT permission was denied on the object 'LMS_SYSOPT_SystemOption, database..."</span> - refer **Cause 1**.

<u>**Cause:**</u>

1. The LeaseControl database and main application are not the same version, which is requirement for LeaseControl to operate - refer **Solution 1**.

<u>**Solution:**</u>

1. You need to upgrade your systems such that they are both the same version.  We recommend always upgrading to the latest version of LeaseControl.  To get the latest upgrade of the LeaseControl system contact servicedesk.maxgeo.com
  - If for any reason you are unable to upgrade to the latest version, determine which version you system should be and upgrade the non-compliant component.  If you need an old upgrade, please contact [servicedesk.maxgeo.com](http://servicedesk.maxgeo.com) noting that some older versions may no longer be available.
