<u>**Symptom:**</u>

1. The data in the grid is a Date, however it is sorting alphanumerically rather than earliest to latest - refer **Cause 1**.

<u>**Cause:**</u>

1. The data type is not nominated as a Date in Settings - refer **Solution 1** (correct Lookup Type is "DATE")

<u>**Solution:**</u>

1. In Query Builder select [Settings] to open a new window.  From there:
  1. Select the Report Type (the relevant module as per your "Query On" field).
  2. Select the relevant Display Name (as per your "Show extra table data" field).
  3. Select the revelvant Field Name (as per the Show Results or Filter name).
  4. Click [Edit] next to the Field List.
  5. Change the Lookup Type to the correct selection.
