<u>**Problem:**</u>

1. I have changed the rent configurations, but the "Commitments" field in each Lease record isn't updating - refer **Cause 1**.
2. I have completed a rent Action, but the "Commitments" field in each Lease record isn't updating.
  - If, when completing the Action, it did not produce the Rent Completion Process - refer **Cause 2**.
  - If, when completing the Action, it produced a window offering to update the rent, and you selected no - refer **Cause 3**.
  - If you are on an old version of LeaseControl (pre-V1.7.2) refer **Cause 4**.
3. I am clicking the "$" button beside the rent in the "Commitments" field of a Lease record, but it isn't updating.
4. I have run Bulk "Update Rent" in QueryBuilder but the "Commitments" field of each Lease record isn't updating.

<u>**Troubleshooting:**</u>

1. If, when you completed the Action, there


<u>**Cause:**</u>

1. You still need to instruct LeaseControl to update the Lease records.  This is not automatic, as it permits you to test the new settings on 1 record and make any required adjustments before updating all records - refer **Solution 1**.
2. The Action you completed may have been a rent Action, however it was not configured with the Rent Completion Process, which triggers the automatic update to the Commitment field.  Refer **Solution 2**.
3. You had opted out of updating these fields automatically - refer **Solution 3**.
4. You are on an out-dated version of LeaseControl, which had a bug relating to this updating this field - refer **Solution 4**.
5. The rent has not been configured correctly.
6. The rent has not been configured correctly.

<u>**Solution:**</u>

1. You can update the fields by either of the following methods, however if you have updated the records, please refer to **Problem 3 or 4** as the case may be.
  - Update the rent by either clicking the "$" button beside the rent in the "Commitments" field of the relevant Lease record; or
  - Update the rent by running a bulk "Update Rent" in QueryBuilder.
2. Have a User with administrator access update the relevant Action Configuration such that the Rent Completion Process applies.
3. Next time, select "Yes" and the fields will be updated.  In the interim, update the rent by clicking the "$" button beside the rent in the "Commitments" field.
4. Contact [servicedesk.maxgeo.com](http://servicedesk.maxgeo.com)  to receive the latest upgrade.

- A screenshot of the relevant Rent Configurations and hierarchy (including confirming which item in the heirarchy it belongs to).
- A screenshot of the entire Lease record, showing the "rent" tab.
- A copy of the government policy that relates you are trying to configure.
- Confirm the correct value of rent, and for what period (to and from, including years)
