<u>**Problem:**</u>

1. I am running V1.8.0, and Miscellaneous Actions are not repeating in the Agreements module, even though they are set to repeat.  They operate correctly in the Leases module.
2. Miscellaneous Actions are not repeating the Leases module, even though they are set to repeat.
3. Irregular Actions are not repeating even though they are configured to repeat.
4. Required Actions are not repeating even though they are configured to repeat.

<u>**Cause:**</u>

1. **If you are are running V1.8.0: **It appears you have not run the V1.8.0 patch.
2. Create a new (test) miscellaneous Action and configure the repeat.  Mark the Action complete and it should regenerate.  If it doesn’t, this is not a problem that has been reported before.
3. Create a new (test) irregular Action, ensuring you confirm via configuration settings that this Action is set to repeat.  **If it does**, then the problem is with the first Action you tried generating, therefore follow the below in respect of this first Action.  **If it doesn’t**, follow the below in respect of both Actions.
  1. Unhide the “Configuration ID” column in both the Action History grid (in the Lease or Agreement record) and in the Action Configuration grid (in the Configuration section).  If these Configuration ID#’s don’t match, you are not creating the Action you think you are, therefore you need to locate the matching Configuration ID in the Action Configuration Grids.  If there isn’t one, then you working on a Miscellaneous Action, therefore refer (1) or (2) above.
  2. If the Configuration ID’s match, check if the Action Configuration is set to repeat.  If not, it has not been configured correctly.
  3. If it has been set to repeat, examine the calculation in respect of this particular record (e.g. the Grant date, where the Action is configured from Grant) and check if the Action would, if generated, be overdue.  If so, the cause is that LeaseControl (at user requests) does not generate overdue Actions.
  4. If it would not be overdue, examine the filters in light of this particular record to see if it is stopping it from being generated (e.g. the critical dates, status etc.).  If so, the cause is that the filter is preventing generation.
  5. If the filter is not stopping it from generating and it is a Lease record, review the Reporting Groups to which this Lease is assigned.  Have a look at the Actions associated with the Reporting Group to see if the missing Action is of an Action Type being superseded by the a Group Action.  If so, the problem is that the Action is being superseded by the Group Action.
  6. If none of the above applies, this is potentially a bug.
4. Create a new Required Action that is set to repeat (make it a very simple configuration, such as repeat each 12mths from 01 January).  “Redo” Actions in respect of a record to make it generate (take a snapshot first of the record so that you don’t lose any data such as notes, etc.).  Mark this Action complete, and it should generate.  If it does, then the problem is with the first Action you tried regenerating, therefore follow (3) above in respect of this first Action.  If it doesn’t, then there may be a wider problem, therefore follow (3) above in respect of both Actions.

<u>**Solution:**</u>

1. Either run the patch, or contact [servicedesk.maxgeo.com](http://servicedesk.maxgeo.com) to request a copy of the patch.
2. 3. and 4. As follows:
  1. Refer to (1) and (2) dependent on which module(s) are affected.
  2. If the Action is meant to repeat, change the configuration such that it has a repeat.  Other alternatives include a follow-on Action.  Once done, add the missing Action via the right-click “Add Irregular” method (for an Irregular Action) or “redo” Actions (for a Required Action).
  3. Consider creating a miscellaneous Action.
  4. If the Action is meant to repeat, change the filter or details within the record such that is can be generated.  For a Required Action you will then need to “redo” Actions.  For an Irregular Action, you will then need to add it via the right-click “Add Irregular” method.
  5. Change the Action of either the missing Action, or the Action(s) being superseded, such that the missing Action is no longer being superseded.  You will then need to add the missing Action either via the right-click “Add Irregular” method (for an Irregular Action) or “Redo” Actions (for a Required Action).
