<u>**Objective:**</u>

1. Register the LeaseControl software after installation.

<u>**Instructions:**</u>

1. When LeaseControl is run for the first time, it will ask for a CopyMinder license details.
2. Select:
  - <u>*For a Subscription Licence:*</u>  **Configure as a network client **option.  It should automatically find the CopyMinder network license server. If it does not, enter the name or IP address of the server on which CopyMinder is installed, followed by **:10589** (no spacing or other characters between this and the name/IP address). Click **OK**.
  - <u>*For a Standalone Licence:*</u>  **Configure as a standalone program** option.  You when then bre required to enter your Licence Key.
3. LeaseControl now asks for initial database connection information. Enter the database server name, followed by a backslash and the SQL instance name. If the SQL instance is a default (unnamed) instance, enter the server name only without the backslash.
4. Select the LeaseControl database name from the pulldown list, or type in the name directly. The ‘Display Name’ is initially copied from the database name, you can overwrite this with a more user-friendly name if required. Click ‘Test Connection’ to test that the connection parameters are correct, once the connection is correctly defined click ‘OK’ to continue.
5. LeaseControl will open the specified database, and is now ready to use. If you have multiple LeaseControl databases, you can define additional databases inside LeaseControl, and switch between them as required.
