**Symptom:**

1. I completed an Action, and it:
1. ...regenerated, but should not have due to a superseding Group Action - refer article Troubleshooting Action Workflows - Supersedes.
2. ...regenerated, but should not have - refer **Prerequisites **then start at **Troubleshooting 1**.
3. ...regenerated, but the due date is incorrect - refer** **article Troubleshooting Action Due Dates.
4. ...did not regenerate, but should have - refer **Prerequisites 1 **then start at **Troubleshooting 2**.

**Prerequisite:**

*All Troubleshooters should conduct the following before they start the below Troubleshooting:*

Collect the relevant Action Configuration ID, to ensure you really are looking at what you think you are:

1. Within an affected Lease/Agreement record unhide the field ActionConfigID in the Action tab and get the ActionConfigID of the Action that generated incorrectly (the **correct Action ID**)
2. Within an affected Lease/Agreement record unhide the field ActionConfigID in the Action History tab and get the ActionConfigID of the Action that you completed (the **incorrect Action ID**)

**Troubleshooting:**

1. If the correct and incorrect Action IDs are different, the incorrect Action is not a recurrence, it is a follow-on Action, therefore:
1. (*If the correct Action should reoccur*) and/or the follow-on is not required - refer HelpManual Customising LeaseControl > Configuring Leases and Agreements > Action Management > Action Configuration.
2. Otherwise, to continue troubleshooting refer article Troubleshooting Action Workflows - Follow-on Actions.
2. In Lease/Agreement/Group Configurations:
1. (*If Leases*) Select the Lease Type of the Lease in question, unhide the field ActionConfigID in the Actions tab and sort alphanumerically to make it easier to find the one you want.
2. (*If Agreements*) Select the Agreement Type of the Lease in question, unhide the field ActionConfigID in the Actions tab and sort alphanumerically to make it easier to find the one you want.
3. (*If Groups*) Focus on the Reporting Groups that are associated with the relevant Lease - all of them, not just the one you think is incorrect (you can make this easier by grouping the data by Reporting Group - simply click and drag the relevant column header to the "group by" section above the headers).
3. If the Action ID does not appear in relation to the relevant Lease/Agreement Type:
1. Check archived configurations - if it appears here, this is why it is not regenerating - contact us at [servicedesk.maxgeo.com](http://servicedesk.maxgeo.com) for an explanation if you are on V1.8.0 as further information was left out of the HelpManual.
2. Have a look if there is another Lease/Agreement Type by this same name - if yes, start Troubleshooting 3 again from this other Lease/Agreement Type.
3. Otherwise, you may find that the Lease/Agreement Type has changed since the Actions was created/completed, including if the Lease/Agreement record was created via the Copy feature.
1. You can delete the offending Action - refer HelpManual Leases/Agreements Module > Navigating the Edit Lease/Agreement Screen > Lease/Agreement "Tab Section" > Actions > Actions.
2. You can generate the correct Action - refer HelpManual Customising LeaseControl > Configuring Leases and Agreements > Action Management > Add a New Action - noting we recommend you audit all the Actions on this record, as this may not be the only anomaly.
3. When in doubt, contact us to check this is the case via [servicedesk.maxgeo.com](http://servicedesk.maxgeo.com)
4. Complete the following in respect of the correct Action ID, via viewing this configurtion in Action Builder and check the Repetition fields:
1. If any of the following applies, it has not been configured correctly - refer HelpManual Customising LeaseControl > Configuring Leases and Agreements > Navigating Configuration Settings > Side Bar > Action Builder Window.
1. "Occurs Once Only" is ticked, but it should have regenerated itself.
2. "Occurs Once Only is *not *ticked, but it should *not *have regenerated itself.
3. The stated repetition is incorrect.
5. (*If Once Only is ticked*) Complete the following in respect of the correct Action ID, via viewing this configuration in Action Builder and check the Priority field. If it is an 'Irregular' Action:
1. (*If it is an 'irregular' Priority*) Look at the Action Type and Action Description and compare this to Follow On Action Type and Follow On Action fields outside of the Action Builder, in the Action grid. If either of the following applies, it has been generated as a follow-on refer Troubleshooting Action Workflows - Follow-on Actions:
1. Both the Follow On Type and Follow On Action matches the Action Type and Action Description respectively.
2. The Action Type matches a Follow On Type where no Follow On Action has been nominated.
2. (*If it is an 'irregular' Priority*) It is possible that a User manually generated the Action via the in-grid 'Right-click' method.
1. You can delete the incorrect Action, thus resolving the issue.
2. If you are convinced this did not happen - refer **Troubleshooting 6**.
3. (*If it is 'required' Priority*) Complete the following in respect of the correct Action ID, via viewing this configuration in Action Builder and check the Calculate From fields:
1. If it calculates from a critical date that has possibly been changed since the correct Action was generated - this is correct functionality as of V1.8.0 - refer HelpManual Customising LeaseControl > Configuring Leases and Agreements > Navigating Configuration Settings > Side Bar > Action Builder Window.
2. If none of the above apply - refer **Troubleshooting 6**.
6. (*If Once Only is not ticked*) Make a note of the Action Type then go back to the Lease/Agreement in question.
1. Have a look at the Lease/Agreement Status, and compare this to the library (toolbar > Settings > Libraries > Lease/Agreement > Status) and check the Calculate Actions tick box against the respective Description.
1. If this is not ticked, this is stopping Actions from generating - refer HelpManual Customising LeaseControl > Libraries > Lease/Agreement Ligraries > Status.
2. (*Except Agreement Actions*) Have a look at the Reporting Groups associated with the Lease, then go to the Group Configuration section (do this even if you are already investing Group Report Actions) and compare the Action Type to the Supersedes Action Type.
1. If it appears in relation to a Reporting Group associated with the Lease in question, this is stopping the Action from generating - refer article Troubleshooting Action Workflows - Supersedes.
7. The following are all possibilities, noting you may require us to review your database to confirm - contact servicedesk.maxgeo.com (noting we will need a copy of your database, the ActionConfigID and the troublesome Lease/Agreement ID):
1. The Action Configuration in question was changed after the Action was generated - therefore any of the above may have applied.
2. Someone could have deleted the the Action after it was generated.
3. Someone could have deleted a relevant Action History after the system tried to generate the Action (remember: Each Action Configuration can only fall on a specific due date once (per Lease/Agreement record).
