[0:00:05] Sampling defaults and QC policies ensure that your data collection meets specific standards. The Sample Sheet Logging grid allows you to generate sample intervals, QCs and sample IDs in sequence, or all at once. Sampling starting and ending depths can also be specified. Please note, that if you select to create your intervals and QC before sample IDs, then your QC policy will have to be set to frequency, and not suffix.

[0:00:15] To set up, go to the sampling configurations page by clicking on the white gear icon above the sampling grid. Here, you can define the default fields and QC policies.

[0:00:29] Choose whether the policy applies to maximum depth or specific intervals, and configure the details accordingly.

[0:00:46] Click on apply QC policy, and Save. Now, click on the Intervals and QC button. Samples will be generated according to the default configurations set, and QC polices applied.

[0:00:56] To generate intervals, apply QC and assign sample IDs separately, go to the LG Lite DH Sampling table for that template, in the Manage Templates page.

[0:01:14] Uncheck the Mandatory selection box for SampleID and then save.

[0:01:23] Go back to your SampleSheet grid and you will notice you have all three separate function buttons.

Uncheck the apply QC Policy box in the QC policies tab then click on the intervals and QC button.

[0:01:46] Apply a QC policy, then click on the QC button.

[0:02:01] QC policies can also be manually inserted into the grid by right clicking on the desired interval and selecting the policy. Policy metadata will have to be added to the new record. Click anywhere off the row to save. Add the sample IDs by clicking on the Sample IDs button.

[0:02:14] The Sample Sheet and its visible columns can be exported as an Excel worksheet by clicking on the xlsx icon above the grid.
