[00:00:05] All LogChief Lite roles can download downhole, point, and possibly production type data directly from their MDS database by clicking the download button in the Manage Data page. Navigate to the Manage Data page and ensure you have the downhole grid selected. When you click the download button in the top left, the 'Select Collars to Download' window will appear, allowing you to filter your data for download. You can choose between downloading from the DH Coll or DH Coll Planned tables.
[00:00:36] The DH Coll Planned table is used in Datashed to store planned collars. These collars can be downloaded and logged against, and their collar IDs can be changed. When uploaded, their existing data will be distributed into the downhole Collar and downhole survey tables. The DH Coll table is the main collar table and includes all the collar fields. Please note that data in DH Coll Planned can only be imported or created in DataShed5 and cannot be created in LogChief Lite. Neither the DH Coll nor DH Coll Planned tables can be added to a template. The Collar data is all managed in the Manage Data page.
[00:01:15] The dataset dropdown is a mandatory field for the collar filters. Additionally, you can use Hole ID, Hole Status, and Hole Type to further refine the filter. Click 'Apply' or press 'Enter' when you have set your filters correctly or click 'Clear' to reset all filters and start again. Applying the filters will display the appropriate Hole IDs in the grid.
[00:01:37] To select the holes to download, simply check their checkboxes or use the checkbox header in the grid on the left and click 'Download'. A successful download will produce a green notification at the bottom of the page. You can either close the window or continue to edit the filter and download more holes.
[00:01:57] The downloaded data’s collar information will be displayed in the grid. Each row will contain a white pencil icon to edit the record's collar details; a checkbox to select for upload, deletion, or resetting the sync status; a small red arrow to expand the table details section, and the main collar detail fields.
[00:02:27] Point type data is downloaded using the same procedure; however, there is no planned table for point sites. Click on 'Point' in the top right corner, and then click 'Download'. Here, you can filter the points to download, select their checkboxes, and click 'Download'.
[00:02:59] Downloaded data can be logged against on multiple devices. If a user logs the lithology of a hole and then uploads it to the database, another user can download that Hole ID and continue logging to a different table or template on a different device. Additionally, multiple users can download the same hole or site ID and continue logging their respective tables before uploading.
