A linked server is required to be created on both servers when implementing this AAL Power Automate Flow solution, and the MDS SQL Server is different to the DataShedAdmin SQL Server or when using an alias as the connection string for DataShed5. The linked server name needs to be identical as the one configured in ASPNetDatabases.SQL_ServerName. When configuring the linked server on the DataShedAdmin, the linked server name can be either the IP address or server name, together with instance name (if not default instance).

 Make sure the current login exists on remote server with the identical password. If not, specify a SQL login credential by using “Be made using the security context” option.

Please also note that the credential used for the linked server needs View Server State permission. Use the following script to grant the permission if needed (substitute with the correct UserName) 

`GRANT VIEW SERVER STATE TO [UserName] `
